Exploring Rome- Italy, Places You Must Visit !

Roma Amore you were so amazing and pleasant i would definitely come back, there is so much i haven't seen yet but what i did saw was absolutely amazing and breath taking.
Rome is one big museum, the famous quote about her is , don't spit on the ground because you probably will spit on a church. every corner told a different story, every church we entered was like we just entered to a big museum with a lot of history . the people were amazing and nice, a very good vibe was there, i met my good friend Daniela there that showed us around and we met this absolutely interesting guy named Korash that asked us to take a picture with his beautiful cavalier dog which if you know me well is my favourite dog EVER and of course we started to talk-the four of us about hour in a half without even noticing that time flied. love this parts of our trips , you always meet random interesting people. so Rome was Great and most Romantic of all places I've visited so far.

There is so much to see in Rome but here is my Top 10 must see Places + some personal tips, ENJOY:

1-Piazza Navona-  פיאצה נבונה
Beautiful sunny lighted square, all around her are restaurants and at nights the are food and flowers stalls , here is also the famous Christmas market happening and the famous of them all is the famous Bernini fountain - Fontana dei Quattaro Fiumi.
2- Pantheon- הפנתיאון
One of Rome's biggest symbols with open dome which lets pure light and rain come inside the pantheon and Rafael's paintings decorate the walls. Impressive historical place.

3- Colosseo- הקוליסאום
The huge 3 Floors Surrounded arches  Arena today called -The Colosseo and originally called Flavio Amphitheater is the most impressive structure in Rome- Gladiators used to fight here.
Tip: the tickets are combined with the Palatino & Foro Romano.
4- Foro Romano & Palatino - הפורום הרומי וגבעת פאלאטינו
Foro Romano was central beating heart of Rome, here set the senate, military victory and ceremonial parades were  held in here as well. so much to see here, every stone and every colonna has it's own story. if you want to see the foro from a great view then clime to the palatino which was the most fancy neighbourhood in rome and imperium caesars used to live here.
5- Via dei Condotti / Via del Corso- Shopping streets
If you come to Rome and not shop it's like you missed a huge part of your experience.
Italian fashion has huge part in the fashion industry and not visit shopping streets is a real crime.
These 2 streets are long, beautiful, filled with lot's of Italian goods.Via dei Condotti is more for label lovers like Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Via del Corso has more affordable brands like h&m , Zara and many more. both streets are connected and you can pass between the two of them, i loved shopping there, for me it was one of my favorite days in Rome.
6-Spanish Stairs & Piazza di Spagna - המדרגות הספרדיות
After you get tired from all the shopping at Via dei Condotti, you can come to the Spanish stairs to enjoy the view of the beautiful Barcaccia fountain  and take a picture on the famous Spanish Stairs.
7- Vatican City- הוותיקן
Vatican is a small state with lot's of history and spirituality. walking in Vatican City is like walking inside da vinci code book. some places you must see and shouldn't miss:
* Basilica di San Pietro- פיאצה סאן פייטרו
Don't miss the front porch where the pope usually gives his Christmas blessings.

*Vatican Museums- מוזיאוני הוותיקן
So much to see here and another famous quote that if you'll spent one minute in every exhibit it will take you 12 years to see everything ! but still some things are a must see like the Sistine chapel in which you'll find the famous Michelangelo paintings, The Raffael rooms which 2 of the rooms Raffael painted and the rest decorated by his students, the Pinacoteca, the Gallery of Maps and a lot more which you can choose...
2 more things to see in this museum is the courtyard with the famous Apollo statue and at the exit you'll find one of the most photographed pieces in this museum - the staircase designed by Bramante.
we dedicated the whole day for Vatican City and it was worth it.

8- The Jewish Quarter- Ghetto- הרובע היהודי
One of Rome's hidden treasures. here you'll find vintage shops, Kosher deli's and restaurants and a walk through history. A Small look a like Colosseo - Teatro di Marcello is one of the popular sites in this quarter such as the Jewish Synagogue and the Roman Jewish museum .
9- Piazza's & Churches- כיכרות וכנסיות
Exploring Rome and it's churches is the best tourist tour you can take by yourself. every piazza designed by a known famous artist and it' architecture special in his own way. Every piazza surrounded by churches and every single church is like a museum,it's walls are covered with paintings all around it and up to the roof and to realize that you entering now to apart of history is beyond understanding.
10- Fontana di Trevi- מזרקת טרווי
I was so devastated when we came and the fountain was under construction, for me it was a must see place in Rome, its like coming to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel but still even under construction it's huge sculptures wasn't impossible to miss. i would definitely come back to see this fountain. it's worth it !

Tips:
* Walk- if you're staying in the Center of Rome then you're close to every major tourist attractions.
and walking is the best way exploring the city because there is so much to see in every single corner.
so my advise is don't miss Rome's beauty and explore the city by walking.

*Rome surrounded by fountains and known by it's clean water, so no need to waste money on water just fill in your bottle at one of the fountains.

*Roman people are super nice and you can ask them anything and if they understand you they will help you.

* There are no public toilets but it's allowed to enter restaurants and coffee houses to go to toilet it's not frowned upon and very common , don't feel inconvenience, i felt at fist but soon found out that they really don't mind.

Food:
If we're talking about real crimes then this one is the biggest. coming to Rome and not eat well is beyond MY understanding. as we ate in allot of good restaurants below are my favorites :

*Caffè Greco-
One of favorite cafe houses we visited, the place itself is beautiful and the desserts are perfection.

*Rossopomodoro-
Best Pasta's and Pizza we've ever eaten in this trip. absolutely enjoyed every second of it.

*Goose Restaurant-
Best Ravioli iv'e ever eaten, i still remember it's taste.

*Grom Gelato-
Coming to Rome and not eat a Gelato? of course it's a must. and if it's a must then it's got to be the Best one, in high quality, Natural and own lot's of flavors, that's Grom.

*Laduree Roma-
There's nothing wrong with a little french touch,I Know it's not Italian but i absolutely adore Laduree Coffee houses and if i could stay there, sip tea and eat Macarons every day i would definitely do that.
